Mechanical stability

Speed

Grease should be matched to the speed parameters of the injection moulding machine. This depends primarily on the type and proportion of thickener and base oil. The speed parameter of the grease is not a material parameter, but depends on the type of injection moulding machine and the minimum running time required.

Generally speaking, rolling injection moulding machines with high speeds or low starting torques require a grease with a high speed parameter. For low speed rolling injection moulding machines, a grease with a lower speed parameter is recommended.

Mixing greases

Never mix incompatible greases. If two incompatible greases are mixed, the consistency will usually soften and damage may eventually occur as the grease is easily lost. If you do not know which grease was used on the injection moulding machine, remove the old grease from the inside and outside of the machine before replenishing it.

Load

As the size of the grease cone into the size of the load can be used, the load should be large to choose a small cone into the grease, if both heavy load and shock load, should be used with extreme pressure additives grease, such as molybdenum disulfide grease.
